A new breed of fuck

I watched In the Company of Men yesterday. It's a delightful rom-com about two businessmen who decide to wine, dine and emotionally destroy a co-worker.

In all seriousness, the movie was pretty good, though its notoriety seems far less deserved now than it did 13 years ago. It's dark by all means, its protagonists thoroughly disgusting, but compare it to something like Happiness, which came out only a year later, and it's relatively tame.

That being said, the acting is solid across the board. Aaron Eckhart is really great if by great I mean effectively portrays one of the biggest dicks I've ever encountered in a film.

Unfortunately my favorite scene (HEY!) isn't online. I cracked up when I first saw it, felt guilty, then watched it another 3 times. The last scene is also a perfect closer.

So I guess it's sad that Aaron Eckhart ended up in a Batman movie and the dude who directed this is also responsible for this gem.
